Electric Vehicle Charging Device of Stopper Type and Driving Method Thereof

The present invention relates to a stopper type electric vehicle charging apparatus and an operating method thereof. The stopper type electric vehicle charging apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a socket type main body unit which is installed on a vehicle stopper on a parking lot floor; and a charging operation unit which charges an electric vehicle by selectively supplying electricity according to payment status when charging is required from the electric vehicle connected with the socket type main body, and blocks electricity supply when a water leak is detected.
