A pulse width control circuit device with the ripple free circuit

The present invention relates to a pulse width modulation device with a ripple removing circuit. In particular, in a transmitter supporting constant envelope modulation, a device for pulse width modulation is configured by a digital circuit, such that a pulse width can be modulated by using two comparators, while hysteresis is applied to one comparator to remove ripple. To this end, the present invention comprises: a signal input unit in which a trigger signal is inputted; a sawtooth wave generating unit which outputs a sawtooth wave signal in accordance with the trigger signal; an inverter which receives the sawtooth wave signal to convert the same into a pulse signal of a square wave with duty, while converting the same into the pulse signal having two voltage levels by a predetermined threshold value; a low pass filter which receives the pulse signal to output a voltage proportional to a duty ratio of the pulse signal (referred as the duty ratio voltage hereinafter); and a feedback control unit which compares the duty ratio voltage to a reference voltage in order to output a bias voltage corresponding to the reference voltage, and applies the bias voltage to the voltage of the sawtooth wave signal for feedback. Therefore, according to the pulse width modulation device, the device for pulse width modulation is configured by the digital circuit in the transmitter supporting constant envelope modulation, such that a pulse width can be modulated by using the two comparators, while hysteresis is applied to one comparator to remove ripple. 일정 포락선(constant envelope) 변조를 지원하는 송신기에서 펄스폭 조절을 위한 장치를 디지털 회로로 구성하되, 2개의 비교기를 이용하여 펄스폭을 조절하고, 하나의 비교기에 히스테리시스를 부여하여 리플을 제거하는, 리플 제거 회로를 가진 펄스폭 조절 장치에 관한 것으로서, 트리거 신호가 입력되는 신호 입력부; 상기 트리거 신호에 따라 톱니파 신호를 출력하는 톱니파 발생부; 상기 톱니파 신호를 입력받아 듀티를 가지는 구형파의 펄스 신호로 변환하되, 사전에 정해진 임계값에 의해 2개의 전압레벨을 갖는 펄스 신호로 변환하는 인버터; 상기 펄스 신호를 입력받아 상기 펄스 신호의 듀티비에 비례하는 전압(이하 듀티비 전압)을 출력하는 저역통과필터; 및, 상기 듀티비 전압과 기준 전압을 비교하여, 상기 기준 전압에 해당하는 바이어스 전압을 출력하고, 상기 바이어스 전압을 상기 톱니파 신호의 전압에 부가하여 피드백시키는 피드백 제어부를 포함하는 구성을 마련한다. 상기와 같은 펄스폭 조절 장치에 의하여, 일정 포락선(constant envelope) 변조를 지원하는 송신기에서 펄스폭 조절을 위한 장치를 디지털 회로로 구성하되, 2개의 비교기를 이용하여 펄스폭을 조절하고, 하나의 비교기에 히스테리시스를 부여하여 리플을 제거할 수 있다.
