The present invention relates to a novel tattoo ink composition and a method of preparing the same, wherein the tattoo ink composition has good skin adhering properties to exhibit an excellent tinting strength, and exhibits long-lasting colors. Since the tattoo ink composition shows excellent dispersion stability, components therein do not separate even when stored for a long time, thereby providing good storability. The tattoo ink composition is hygienic and harmless to the human body and has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic properties, thereby being capable of accelerating wound healing and causing no adverse side effects. According to the present invention, provided are a method of preparing a tattoo ink composition, and a tattoo ink composition prepared thereby, wherein the method comprises: a raw material mixing process of mixing 20-50 parts by weight of dye powder, 5-30 parts by weight of an emulsifier, 1-20 parts by weight of a dispersant, 3-10 parts by weight of a preservative, and 20-70 parts by weight of distilled water; a process of subjecting the mixture of raw materials mixed in the preceding process to a milling treatment to prepare a primary ink-dispersed liquid; a process of aging the primary ink-dispersed liquid prepared in the preceding process by letting the same stand at 15-21°C for 5-14 days; and a process of mixing the primary ink-dispersed liquid aged in the preceding process with a thickener and an alcohol. 본 발명은 피부밀착성이 좋아서 착색력이 우수하고, 색상의 지속성도 우수하며, 분산안정성이 우수하여 장기간 보관하여도 성분들이 분리되지 않으므로 저장성이 좋고, 위생적일 뿐만 아니라 인체에도 무해하며, 항균, 항염증, 진통기능도 가지므로 문신에 의한 상처를 빨리 아물게 하고 부작용도 없는 새로운 조성의 문신용 염료조성물 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따르면, 염료 파우더 20~50중량부, 유화제 5~30중량부, 분산제 1~20중량부, 보존제 3~10중량부, 증류수 20~70중량부를 혼합하는 원료혼합과정; 상기 과정에서 혼합된 원료혼합물을 밀링처리하여 1차 염료분산액을 만드는 과정; 상기 과정에서 만든 1차 염료분산액을 15~21℃에서 5~14일 방치하여 숙성시키는 과정; 및 상기 과정에서 숙성시킨 1차 염료분산액에 증점제와 알코올을 혼합하는 과정;을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 문신용 염료조성물 제조방법 및 이에 의해 제조된 문신용 염료조성물이 제공된다.
