Chlorophyll a purified by the separation and purification method of the present invention can be usefully used as a material for antioxidant cosmetics or functional health foods for antioxidants. 본 발명은 미세조류로부터 고순도 클로로필 a를 분리 및 정제하는 방법에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 에탄올 및 헥산을 이용하여 미세조류로부터 클로로필 a를 추출한 후, 세파덱스 레진이 충진된 컬럼을 이용하여 1차 정제하고, 순차적으로 C18 레진이 충진된 컬럼을 이용하여 2차 정제하는 방법을 통하여 단시간 내에 순도 90% 이상의 클로로필 a를 정제할 수 있는 방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명의 분리 및 정제방법으로 정제된 클로로필 a는 항산화용 화장품 또는 항산화용 건강기능식품의 소재로 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
