IFF and method for detecting peak power of transmitting/receiving signal

An identification friend or foe (IFF) for transmitting/receiving peak power and a method for measuring the transmitting/receiving peak power are provided. An identification friend or foe (IFF) for the transmitting/receiving peak power of at least one of an active phased array radar and a passive phased array radar provides question signals for each of N channels, receives the provided question signals and the reception signals reflected from a target through a feedback path and performs down conversion on them, and detects peak power for the down-converted question signals and the reception signals using the delay time of the down-converted question signals and of the reception signals.
