Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for testing a continuous variable valve duration mechanism of an engine. According to an embodiment of the present invention, an apparatus for testing a specific apparatus mounted on the engine as an object comprises: a main body (20) receiving the object on a bed module (21) and a frame (23), and applying a driving force to rotate a shaft of the object; a support means (30) for controlling gripping of the object by up and down movement of a pressure plate (33) mounted on the frame (23); and a control means (40) for measuring valve duration based on a signal generated in accordance with the rotation of the shaft of the object. Accordingly, the apparatus for testing a specific apparatus mounted on an engine as an object can check an operation and quality of a continuously variable valve duration mechanism of an engine while the continuously variable valve duration mechanism of an engine is not mounted on the engine of a vehicle, can simultaneously measure a plurality of valves, thereby reducing airborne, and as a result, improving engine productivity in mass production. 본 발명의 일면에 의하면, 엔진에 탑재되는 특정의 기구를 대상물로 시험하는 장치에 있어서: 상기 대상물을 배드모듈(21)과 프레임(23) 상으로 수용하고, 대상물의 샤프트를 회전시키도록 구동력을 인가하는 본체(20); 상기 프레임(23) 상에 장착되는 가압판(33)의 상하운동으로 대상물의 파지를 단속하는 지지수단(30); 및 상기 대상물의 샤프트 회전에 따라 발생하는 신호로 밸브 듀레이션을 연산하는 제어수단(40);을 포함하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 한다. 이에 따라, 엔진의 연속가변밸브 듀레이션 기구를 차량의 엔진에 미장착한 상태에서 작동 및 품질을 점검할 수 있고, 복수의 밸브를 동시에 측정할 수 있어 공수 절감을 도모함으로써 결과적으로 양산에서 엔진 생산성을 향상한다.
