Zusammenfassung:	A length-adjustable barbell bar and a method for controlling the length of a barbell bar are provided. The barbell bar comprises a pipe coupled with one or more weights; a direct current (DC) motor operating in accordance with a control signal; a length adjusting part adjusting the length of the pipe in accordance with the rotation of the DC motor; at least one button receiving input of a user; and a processor generating a control signal based on the received input of a user. 길이가 조절되는 역기 봉 및 역기 봉의 길이를 조절하는 방법이 제공된다. 역기 봉은 하나 이상의 무게 추들과 결합하는 파이프, 제어 신호에 따라 동작하는 직류(Direct Current; DC) 모터, 직류 모터의 회전에 따라 파이프의 길이를 조절하는 길이 조절부, 사용자의 입력을 수신하는 적어도 하나의 버튼 및 수신한 사용자의 입력에 기반하여 제어 신호를 생성하는 프로세서를 포함한다.
