Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a composition for controlling mosquito comprising phytoecdysteroid or a plant extract containing phytoecdysteroid as an active ingredient and uses thereof. According to the present invention, 20-hydroxyecdysone which is a main ingredient of phytoecdysteroid or a plant extract comprising the same has excellent insecticidal activity with respect to mosquito larva, has low resistance evoked potential, is safe to vertebrate including humans and animals to be environment-friendly, and can effectively control mosquito. 본 발명은 피토엑디스테로이드 또는 이를 포함하는 식물 추출물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 모기 방제용 조성물 및 이의 용도에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따른 피토엑디스테로이드의 주성분인 20-히드록시엑디손(20-hydroxyecdysone) 또는 이를 포함하는 식물 추출물은 모기 유충에 대해 살충활성이 우수하고, 저항성 유발 가능성이 낮으며, 인축을 포함한 척추동물에 안전하여 친환경적이므로, 효율적으로 모기를 방제할 수 있는 효과가 있다.
