BATTERY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM WITH SELF-DIAGNOSIS FUNCTION AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

The present invention relates to a battery management system having a self-diagnosis function and a method for controlling the same, and more particularly, to a battery management system having a self-diagnosis function, which includes: a battery that is electrically connected to one or more battery cells; and a BMS that autonomously diagnoses one or more sensors for detecting a voltage, a temperature, and a current of the battery, and outputs whether the sensors are abnormal on a display, wherein the BMS may convert an electric signal output from a plurality of sensors into a set electric signal, and may determine whether the sensors are malfunctioned by comparing the electric signal with a set range, so that management of the battery is easy and malfunction of the battery is prevented. 본 발명은 자기진단 기능을 갖는 배터리 매니지먼트 시스템(BATTERY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM) 및 제어방법에 관한 것으로서, 하나 이상의 전지셀이 전기적으로 연결되는 배터리와, 상기 배터리의 전압과 온도 및 전류를 감지하는 하나 이상의 센서를 자체적으로 진단하여 이상여부를 디스플레이에 출력하는 비엠에스를 포함하고, 상기 비엠에스는 다 수개의 센서로부터 출력된 전기적신호를 설정된 전기적 신호로 변환 후 설정된 범위와 비교하여 센서의 고장 여부를 판단할 수 있어 배터리의 관리가 용이하고, 비엠에스의 오작동이 방지되는 자기진단기능을 갖는 배터리 매니지먼트 시스템 및 그 제어방법에 관한 것이다.
