Zusammenfassung:	Disclosed are a stratum determination method and apparatus. The stratum determination method according to the present invention comprises: an excavating step of excavating the ground; a first vibration measuring step of measuring vibration transferred from a spindle of a rotating drill in the excavating step; a second vibration measuring step of measuring the vibration of a drive engine for driving the spindle; a calculating step of calculating the vibration difference measured in the same time in the first and second vibration measuring steps to calculate pure vibration; and a determining step of determining stratum by comparing the pure vibration with accumulated stratum determination data. 지층 판단방법 및 판단장치가 개시된다. 본 발명에 의한 지층 판단방법은 지반을 굴착하는 굴착단계; 상기 굴착단계에서 회전 시추기의 스핀들로부터 전달되는 진동을 측정하는 제1진동측정단계; 상기 스핀들을 구동하는 구동엔진의 진동을 측정하는 제2진동측정단계; 상기 제1진동측정단계와 제2진동측정단계에서 측정된 동시간대의 진동의 차이를 연산하여 순수진동을 구하는 연산단계; 상기 순수진동을 축적된 지층판단데이터와 비교하여 지층을 판단하는 판단단계;를 포함한다.
