Zusammenfassung:	Disclosed are an apparatus and a method for verifying recognition accuracy of an imaging device for an intelligent transportation system (ITS), wherein whether a vehicle number is accurately recognized in an image of the vehicle by an ITS imaging device installed at a highway service office can be automatically verified to provide an optimal operating environment for a conventional screening business. The apparatus for verifying recognition accuracy of an ITS imaging device in a highway service office comprises: an analysis unit for re-recognizing an image of a vehicle in order to verify recognition accuracy of a vehicle number detected in the image of the vehicle by the ITS imaging device; and a classification unit for automatically classifying causes of errors in recognizing the vehicle number, based on a result of re-recognition. 본 발명은 지능형교통시스템 영상장치의 인식 정확성 검증을 위한 장치 및 방법을 개시한다. 고속도로 영업소에 구비된 지능형교통시스템(Intelligent Transportation Systems, ITS) 영상장치의 인식 정확성을 검증하기 위한 장치는, ITS 영상장치가 차량 영상 내에서 검출한 차량번호의 인식 정확성을 검증하기 위해 차량 영상을 재인식하는 분석부 및 재인식 결과에 기초하여 차량번호에 대한 인식 오류의 원인을 자동으로 분류하는 분류부를 포함한다.
