The present invention has effects of requiring a simple configuration as a tiller and a rudder stock to operate a rudder are driven by using a gear, reducing costs thereby, and improving the quality thereby. Moreover, the present invention has effects of maintaining a constant steering force over the whole area, and not limiting a steering angle as driving by using a gear as described above. 본 발명은 조타 장치 및 방법에 대한 것으로서, 특히 러더를 작동하는 러더 스톡과 틸러를 치차를 이용하여 구동하도록 함에 의해 종래보다 간단한 구성만이 필요하고 이에 의해 원가를 절감하는 한편 이에 의해 품질 향상을 도모할 수 있다. 또한, 상술한 바와 같이 치차를 이용하여 구동함에 의해 조타각의 제한이 없고 조타력도 전 범위에 걸쳐 일정하게 유지할 수 있다.
