APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR OBTAINING TRAFFIC DENSITY BY COUNTING CARS NUMBER IN UNIT SECTION

The present invention relates to an apparatus for estimating and calculating entire traffic flow density by counting the number of vehicles at a specified time period and observing the trajectory of a vehicle according to time and a method thereof. The present invention comprises: an image photographing unit photographing a vehicle accessing a limited section of a road; a traffic flow density calculating unit, which estimates and calculates entire traffic flow density by observing the trajectory of a vehicle according to time through the number of vehicles counted in a predetermined specified section on a construction design map at a specified time point based on an image photographed by the image photographing unit; and a storage unit, which checks the entire traffic flow density calculated by the density calculating unit and stores necessary records. 본 발명은 시공도상에서 특정시각에 차량의 수를 측정하여 시간에 따른 차량 궤적을 관측함으로써, 전체 교통밀도를 추정하여 산출하는 장치 및 방법을 제공하기 위한 것으로서, 한정구간에서 도로에 진입하는 차량을 촬영하는 영상 촬영부와, 상기 영상 촬영부에서 촬영된 영상을 기반으로 미리 정의된 특정구간의 시공도상에서 특정시각에 측정되는 차량대수를 통해 시간에 따른 차량 궤적을 관측하여 전체 교통밀도를 추정하여 산정하는 밀도 산출부와, 상기 밀도 산출부에서 산정된 전체 교통밀도를 확인하고 이력을 저장하는 저장부를 포함하여 구성되는데 있다.
