Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to an apparatus for selecting a waveform used in side-channel analysis. More specifically, the present invention relates to a technology of increasing the efficiency of the side-channel analysis by selecting a waveform so that a variance value of the waveform is increased by analyzing a main component. According to one embodiment, the apparatus for selecting the waveform required in the side-channel analysis includes a matrix generator to generate a covariance matrix based on the waveform data collected from a waveform collecting device; a waveform conversion unit to determine a first main component using the generated covariance matrix and to convert the waveform data using the first main component; and a waveform selection unit to select a waveform for the side-channel analysis among the converted waveform data.
