HAIR GROWTH-PROMOTING PREPARATION CONTAINING SUPERCRITICAL RICE BRAN EXTRACT AND PREPARING METHOD THEREOF

The present invention relates to a hair growth promoting agent and a method for preparing the same, wherein the hair growth promoting agent comprises a supercritical rice bran extract. The extract includes, as major components, linoleic acid, γ-linoleic acid, policosanol, γ-oryzanol, and γ-tocotrienol. The supercritical carbon dioxide rice bran extract shows a potential ability to promote hair growth similar to that of 3% minoxidil which is known to induce hair follicle growth in hair follicle growth phase; brings a considerable increase in a number of hair follicle; remarkably increases mRNA expression levels of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1), and keratinocyte growth factor (KGF); and reduces an mRNA expression level of transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β). Thus, the composition comprising the supercritical carbon dioxide rice bran extract, according to the present invention, can be effectively applied as a hair growth promoting agent and a hair loss treating agent.
