APPARATUS FOR MEASURING APPEARANCE OF OBJECT USING LASER BEAM

The present invention relates to an apparatus for obtaining dimension information of an object and position information of a specific point using laser beam, including a dimension measuring laser beam output member for outputting laser beam toward a moving object in such a way that the laser beam crosses left and right ends of the object; a reference laser beam output member for outputting the laser beam extending from a lateral direction of the moving object to a moving direction of the object, without motion; a camera for taking a picture of the dimension measuring laser beam and the reference laser beam outputted from the dimension measuring laser beam output member and the reference laser beam output member; and a control unit for obtaining data about the width of the object and data about a center value of the object based on the dimension measuring laser beam outputted from the dimension measuring laser beam output member among the dimension measuring laser beam and the reference laser beam photographed by the camera, and obtaining data about the distance from the reference laser beam outputted from the reference laser beam output member to the center of the object based on the data about the center value of the object and the reference laser beam outputted from the reference laser beam output member.
