Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to a fused tapering device for optical fibers and, more specifically, to a fused tapering device for optical fibers capable of securing and reproducing a high-quality fused-tapered element having a fixed diameter: by reducing the outer diameter by melting an optical fiber using a heating torch and at the same time extending the optical fiber of which both ends are respectively supported on a pair of chucks in the longitudinal direction; and by controlling the tension to be uniformly distributed on the optical fiber throughout a fused tapering process by including a control unit and a tension sensing unit for sensing the tension of the optical fiber supported on the chucks. The fused tapering device for optical fibers which reduces the outer diameter of an optical fiber by melting the optical fiber and at the same time extending the optical fiber in the longitudinal direction includes: a base; a pair of chucks for supporting both longitudinal ends of the optical fiber; a heating torch for heating the optical fiber supported by the chucks to melt the optical fiber; a pair of moving stages which are mounted on the base to be movable in a direction getting away from each other while each of the chucks is fixed to each moving block to extend the optical fiber; and a control unit for controlling the movement of the moving stages. The device further includes a tension sensing unit for detecting the tension of the optical fiber which is supported by the chucks. The control unit controls the movement of the moving stages according to the tension sensed by the tension sensing unit.
