HEAT EXCHANGER HAVING WATER LEAK DETECTION DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR DETECTING WATER LEAK OF THEREOF

The present invention relates to a heat exchanger equipped with a leakage detection device and a leakage detection method thereof. The heat exchanger equipped with a body having a tube and in which a circulation fluid flows and a water box installed at both sides of the body to supply or discharge cooling water exchanging heat with the circulation fluid to the tube comprises a leakage detection device equipped with a synthesis tube sheet composed by the combination of a leakage detection panel and a tube sheet by being installed at both ends of the body to which the end of the tube passes through. The leakage detection panel (230) includes a plurality of leakage water collection grooves surrounding a tube through hole and collecting leaked cooling water at one surface in contact with the tube sheet to collect the leaked cooling water leaked along the gap between the tube and the tube through hole of the tube sheet while passing through the synthesis tube sheet; a plurality of leakage guide grooves for connecting the leakage collection grooves; and a first water collection line passing through the leakage guide grooves to collect the leaked cooling water flowing through the leakage guide groove. The present invention can quickly prevent leakage with an immediate alarm while recognizing the leakage during pressure changes by detecting pressure changes obtained by collecting the leaked cooling water for the leakage which can occur between the synthesis tube sheet composed by the connection of the tube sheet and the leakage detection panel (230) and the tube.
