Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to active cobalt ferrite capable of decomposing carbon dioxide, a production method thereof, a decomposition method of carbon dioxide using the active cobalt ferrite, and a production method of methane. The production method of the active cobalt ferrite comprises the following steps: making an iron containing precursor, a cobalt containing precursor, and dicarboxylic acid or salt thereof to obtain cobalt iron oxalate (CoxFe1-xC2O4, 0 < x < 1); and heat-processing the cobalt iron oxalate under the inert atmosphere.
