Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: A method for saccharifying lignocellulose-based biomass using electrolyzed reduced water is provided to reduce costs for pretreatment compared with exist pretreatment using alkali chemicals and to omit washing and neutralizing of pretreated biomass. CONSTITUTION: A method for saccharifying lignocellulose-based biomass without washing and neutralizing comprises the steps of: electrolyzing water to prepare alkaline electrolyzed reduced water of pH 12.8-14; adding the electrolyzed reduced water to the lignocellulose-based biomass and pretreating the mixture in an autoclave at a pressure of 3-10 bar and a temperature of 130-200 °C for 30-90 minutes; separating the pretreated mixture into solid and liquid; and reacting the solid biomass with saccharifying enzyme in a citric acid solution of pH 4.0-5.5. The lignocellulose-based biomass is obtained from empty fruit bunch (EFB) or Miscanthus sinensis var. purpurascens.
