PREPARATION METHOD OF SEMI-MICRO MEDIA CONTAINING GELATIN WHICH IS EXTRACTED FROM WASTE OF LEATHER PROCESSING FOR ADVANCED WASTEWATER BIOLOGICAL TREATMENT

PURPOSE: A preparation method of semi-micro media containing gelatin which is extracted from waste of the leather processing for advanced wastewater biological treatment is adapted to reduce the loss and the processing costs of resources by recycling waste leather by-products and to favorably absorb and attach microorganisms by producing hydrophilic carriers. CONSTITUTION: A preparation method of semi-micro carriers containing gelatin which is extracted from waste of the leather processing for advanced wastewater biological treatment comprises the steps of: a mixing step (S100) of mixing gelatin extracted from waste leather by-products, 3-glycidoxypropyltrimethosysilane (GPTMS) as a silane coupling agent and calcium nitrate and stirring the mixture for 20-50 minutes; a gelling step (S200) of ripening the stirred gelatin, GPTMS and calcium nitrate mixture for 15-18 hours to gel the mixture; and a freeze-dry step (S300) of freeze-drying the gelled mixture at -40 degrees to -90 degrees after washing the gelled mixture with distilled water.
