Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A sensor system and a method including a self-test function is provided to reduce manpower and costs. CONSTITUTION: A sensor system(100) includes a thermal ray detection device(110), an infrared ray detection device(120), and a magnet detection device(130). The thermal ray detection device determines failure based on variation of an output signal of the thermal ray detection device according to an operation of a thermal bulb. The infrared ray detection device determines failure based on variation of an output signal of the infrared detection device according to operation of a power shut-off circuit. The magnet detection device determines a failure based on variation of an output signal of the magnet detection device according to operation of a control coil.
