CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing imatinib mesylate crystalline form alpha comprises: a step of preparing a suspension containing a first solvent including imatinib, isopropyl alcohol, and ethyl acetate; a step of adding a mixture containing a second solvent including methanesulphonic acid, isopropyl alcohol, and ethyl acetate, and preparing a reaction solution; and a step of stirring the reaction solution.
