Ballast water treatment equipment for ship

PURPOSE: A ballast water treating apparatus is provided to prevent the generation of secondary contamination while discharging ballast water by preventing the property change of seawater due to high temperatures. CONSTITUTION: A ballast water treating apparatus includes a pump(10), a ballast water tank(70), a pipe, a filtering unit(20), an impeller(40), a plurality of electrode rods(83), an alternative current(AC) transformer(81), a temperature sensor, and a controlling unit. The pipe connects a seawater inlet(2), an outlet(4), the pump, and the ballast water tank. The electrode rods are arranged in the ballast water tank in order to generate electric field in ballast water. The AC transformer is in connection with the electrode rods. The temperature sensor is arranged in the ballast water tank to measure the temperature of the ballast water. The controlling unit controls voltages from the AC transformer to maintain the pre-determined temperature of the ballast water.
