APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ADJUSTING SPACE OF LETTER AND MEDIUM RECORDING PROGRAM THEREOF

PURPOSE: A character gap adjusting device, a character gap adjusting method, and a recording medium for program thereof are provided to enable automatic adjustment of a character gap since the gap between pairs of characters is adjusted by a kerning value in consideration of the form of character. CONSTITUTION: An input unit(110) receives first and second characters. A storing unit(120) stores first and second tables including groups classified according to the form of character, and a kerning table which records a kerning value. A controller(130) controls the degree for overlapping the virtual frame of the first and second characters with a kerning value corresponding to the combination of group of the first and second table in order to control the gap between the characters. The group of the first table is classified into the neuter gender and final consonant of the character. The group of the second table is classified into the initial sound and final consonant of the character.
