EXTERNAL SYNCHRONOUS APPARATUS OF ACQUIRING IMAGE PERFORMING GAIN CONTROL ACCORDING TO SELF SYNC SIGNAL AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: An external synchronous image acquisition apparatus performing gain control according to a self sync signal and a method thereof are provided to acquire an optimized image regardless of peripheral luminance variation even when non-periodically acquiring an image according to an external sync signal. CONSTITUTION: An external synchronous image acquisition apparatus comprises: an image storage unit(210); a self sync signal generating unit(220) which periodically generates a self sync signal; an image acquisition unit(230) which acquires the generated self sync signal; an image gain control unit(240) which controls the image gain of the acquired image and applies the controlled image gain to the next image acquired by the image acquisition unit; and a control unit(250) which stores the image acquired by the image acquisition unit to the image storage unit when an external sync signal is inputted.
