INTERNET PROTOCOL GATEWAY AND METHOD OF PROVIDING INTERNET PROTOCOL ADDRESS BY THE INTERNET PROTOCOL GATEWAY

PURPOSE: An IP gateway and a method for providing an IP address of the IP gateway is provided to make an external terminal access an LAN area of the IP gateway with the fluid IP address by reporting the fluid IP address of the randomly changed IP gateway according to the schedule selected to an external host which is set to a mail group. CONSTITUTION: A mail host table recording one mail host IP address or more corresponding to the mail host or more set to a mail group is maintained(311). A ping host table recording one ping host IP address corresponding to each ping host set to a ping group is maintained(312). One mail host IP address or more are extracted from the mail host table every preset cycle(316). If the abnormal operation of the IP gateway is sensed after performing the ping, the IP gateway is rebooted(315). The message including the fluid IP address read by one mail host or more corresponding to one mail host IP address or more is transmitted every cycle(318).
