Zusammenfassung: | A method for preparing isopropanol is provided to simplify a process by using a fixed bed reactor and to produce isopropanol massively by using inexpensive metal solid phase catalyst with superior reactivity. A method for preparing isopropanol comprises a step for performing the hydrogenation of the acetone in the presence of a catalyst. The method is carried out through the continuous operation using a fixed bed reactor. The catalyst is a solid phase catalyst containing the oxides of copper and chrome, or the oxides of zinc and copper as an active component of the catalyst. The solid phase catalyst containing the oxides of copper and chrome as an active component of the catalyst has the surface area 5-50 m^2/g, the pore volume 0.05-0.5 cm^3/g, and the bulk density 0.5-3.0 g/cm^3 and comprises copper oxide 40-80 parts by weight and chrome oxide 1-30 parts by weight based on the total catalysts 100.0 parts by weight. The solid phase catalyst containing the oxides of zinc and copper as an active component of the catalyst comprises zinc oxidate 20-60 parts by weight and copper oxide 1-20 parts by weight based on the total catalysts 100.0 parts by weight. |
