A METHOD FOR MANAGING STORAGE OF A TRANSCODING SERVER

A method for managing memory space of a transcoding server is provided to balance trade-off effectively between memory space made by transcoding and a CPU resource, thereby obtaining maximum saving value with regard to a use rate of a CPU. An index of a group in which a specific version can be executed with regard to transcoding versions whose CPU use rate is maximum is determined by storing the group in which a specific version can be executed with regard to transcoding versions instead of storing one original version while satisfying requirement conditions of memory space. By using the determined index, a transcoding version about each video is selected and stored(S20).
