An LED(Light Emitting Diode) module control device and method for sign advertisement are provided to control various colors of light and brightness by using an LED module and to simplify installation work by controlling communication between micro control units by communication signal lines less than two and connecting the LED module by common control lines less than two. An LED module control device for sign advertisement is composed of an input signal unit(100) receiving address and pattern modes or a signal for controlling one or more LED modules selected from a temperature compensating LED module group; at least one micro control unit(110) controlling a program of at least one LED module by a signal input to the input signal unit; a switching circuit unit(120) for transmitting a control signal output from the micro control unit to the LED module; and a communication control unit(130) controlling a communication signal between the micro control units more than two.
