PINCH ROLL APPARATUS FOR CENTER POSITION CONTROL OF HOT STRIP, AND CONTROLLING METHOD OF THE SAME

A pinch roll apparatus for center position control of a strip coiler and a method for controlling the pinch roll apparatus are provided, wherein the pinch roll apparatus has a structure that is capable of coiling strip solidly and preventing telescope from being generated in the strip. In a strip coiler capable of coiling a strip on a mandrel, a pinch roll apparatus for center position control of the strip coiler includes: a skewness sensor part for sensing whether the strip is skewed or not and sensing the skewness amount; and a pinch roll part for center position control(30), which moves the strip in a predetermined distance according to the skewness amount of the strip sensed in the skewness sensor part such that the center of the strip is consistent with the required center. The skewness sensor part includes a measuring part(21), a skewness amount computing part(25), a back light, and a back light drive part. The pinch roll part for center position control comprises: a center position control part(100); and a cylinder part(60) including a hydraulic servo circuit(61), a hydraulic unit(62), a hydraulic cylinder(63), and a position sensor(64).
