Zusammenfassung:	A torque converter is provided to prevent an accident by preventing a vehicle from running at a coasting speed by activating an engine brake, when a reverse driving occurs between an engine and wheels. A front cover(3) includes a boss which is connected to a crank shaft of an engine. An impeller(5) is connected to the front cover and rotated by the front cover. A turbine(7) is arranged to be opposed to the impeller. A stator(9) is arranged between the impeller and the turbine and changes a flow of oil from the turbine to the impeller. A lock up clutch(11) directly couples the engine with the turbine. A spline hub(19) delivers the operation force of the engine from the lock up clutch to an input shaft of a transmission. A one-side clutch is arranged between an inner side of the front cover and the spline hub. The spline hub is freely rotated in a power delivery direction from the engine. The spline hub is rotated with the front cover in a reverse direction.
