METHOD FOR STARTING ENGINE USING ONE TOUCH TYPE STARTING SWITCH

A method of starting an engine is provided to start the engine easily by controlling Acc, ignition1, ignition2, and a starting motor relay with a one-touch starting switch, thus reducing manufacturing processes and the number of terminals. A method of starting an engine which supplies power to Acc, ignition1, ignition2, and a starting motor relay in a predetermined order in a microcomputer based on the one-touch starting switch, a brake switch, and a starting signal, a brake signal, and an engine starting signal output from an ECU, comprises the steps of: detecting whether the starting signal is on by receiving the starting signal from the starting switch(101), and if the starting signal is on(103), setting the Acc on, and the ignition1, the ignition2, and the starting motor relay off(105); detecting whether the starting signal is on by receiving the starting signal from the starting switch(107), and if the starting signal is on(109), setting the Acc, the ignition1, and the ignition2 on, and the starting motor relay off(111); and detecting whether the starting signal is on by receiving the starting signal from the starting switch(113), and if the starting signal is on(115), returning to the first step and setting all the Acc, the ignition1, the ignition2, and the starting motor relay off(117).
