Zusammenfassung:	An apparatus for preventing a door from opening due to a lateral crash is provided to prevent a latch assembly from unintentionally opening by causing an upward moving force in an outside handle rod using an external force generated by the lateral crash. An apparatus for preventing a door from opening due to a lateral crash comprises a latch assembly(12) released by an outside handle rod(14) which moves downward according to an operation of an outside handle(10). A rod contact bracket(22) is coupled to the outside hand rod. A deformation inducing bracket(26) is installed at a free end of the rod contact bracket to convert a deformation force of an outside panel(20) by a lateral crash of the vehicle into a lifting force applied to the outside handle rod through the rod contact bracket.
