UPPER AIR DISCHARGE FLAP DRIVING DEVICE OF ROOM AIR CONDITIONER

A driving device for vent flaps of an indoor unit in an air conditioner is provided to join an upper vent flap to one of right and left vent flaps for opening or closing the right or left vent flap together with the upper vent flap by using a single motor, thereby reducing required parts for the opening or closing operation. A driving device for vent flaps of an indoor unit in an air conditioner includes an upper vent flap(35) mounted to an air outlet of a top cover, a connecting bar(36) connecting an upper vent flap to any one of right and left vent flaps(47,48) for driving one of the right and left vent flaps together with the upper vent flap by using a single opening/closing driving unit. The opening/closing driving unit has each flap driving motor mounted to suction flap frames(41,42), a pinion gear connected to an output shaft of the flap driving motor, a suction flap driving gear mounted to right and left suction flaps(43,44) and engaged with the pinion gear, and a vent flap driving gear mounted to the right and left vent flaps and engaged with the suction flap driving gear.
