AN INDOOR UNIT FOR AIR CONDITIONER

An indoor unit for an air conditioner is provided to fasten or loosen a front door in the process of lifting or lowering the front door by door shifts, thereby achieving stable and simple manipulation. An indoor unit for an air conditioner includes a base(110), a body panel mounted on the base, and a top cover mounted to the body panel. A pair of suction frames are mounted at both sides of the base and respectively having an inlet. A pair of discharge frames are joined with the top cover at an end and connected to the suction frames at the other end respectively, having an inlet respectively. A front door is joined with front parts of the suction and discharge frames. Door shifts(160) are mounted on the base and connected to a lower end of the front door. The base is mounted with shift supporting parts(162) for mounting the door shifts and cam type lifting parts(164) for lifting the door shifts when the door shifts rotate right and left. The front door lifts together with the door shifts along the lifting part when the door shifts rotate. The front door has upper and lower parts formed integrally and joined with the suction and discharge frames by fastener for stable supporting.
