Zusammenfassung:A method for preparing organic-inorganic hybrid materials is provided to produce organic-inorganic hybrid materials for new optical waveguide devices having good thermal/chemical safety and a low optical loss by using a sol-gel reaction of diols and alkoxysilanes. A method for preparing organic-inorganic hybrid materials by reacting alkoxysilanes with diols includes the steps of: sol-gel reacting (3-acryloxypropyl)trimethoxysilane with bisphenol A in the presence of barium hydroxide monohydrate as a sol-gel reaction catalyst to prepare an organic-inorganic hybrid precursor; and adding 2,2-dimethoxy-2-phenyl-acetophenone as a UV initiator to the organic-inorganic hybrid precursor, subjecting the admixture to spin coating, and irradiating the resultant with ultraviolet rays to cause crosslinking.
