Zusammenfassung:	A power supply device for a plasma display panel is provided to prevent electrical damage to a discharge circuit by blocking a driving source voltage even when the discharge circuit is operated during output of driving source voltage due to erroneous operation of a micom or an integrated circuit. A power supply device for a plasma display panel includes a power supply unit(100), a discharge unit(200), a controller(300), and a blocking unit(400). The power supply unit converts an AC(Alternating Current) source voltage to a driving source voltage through a PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) operation. The discharge unit discharges the driving source voltage when the PWM operation is stopped. The controller controls on/off of the discharge and power supply units. The blocking unit blocks the control of the power supply unit by the controller and thus stops the operation of the power supply unit, when the discharge unit is operated during operation of the power supply unit.
