A vegetation type revetment block and a revetment structure are provided to prevent a soil loss caused by friction between the revetment block having somewhat rough surface and flow water, to tightly combine with the neighbored revetment block given the power of flow water, and to easily pass organisms through vegetation holes formed relatively deeply. A vegetation type revetment block(100) comprises a predetermined size vegetation hole(110) bored up and down at the middle; plural protrusions and through-holes on the upper surface as a square block; groove units(141,151) and protrusion units symmetrically formed on the lateral side to shape one side so as to tightly assemble the blocks by fitting the grooves with the protrusions; a hanger formed on the groove unit; a hook formed on the protrusion unit to be held/fixed on the hanger; an upper entry unit of the vegetation hole projected somewhat to increase depth of the vegetation hole; and a settler(111) projected on the inner surface of the vegetation hole. A part of the inner surface of the vegetation hole is a slope to be tapered inward the vegetation hole.
