PORTABLE TERMINAL WITH ROTATARY TYPE HINGE APPARATUS

A portable terminal with a rotary type hinge unit is provided to make a rotary shaft small-sized and to make the second housing slim by using a previously obtained space on the first hinge axis in installing hinge members which stops rotation of a rotary shaft. A portable terminal with a rotary type hinge unit comprises a hinge housing(101), a rotary shaft(102), a pressing cam(103), a rotary cam(121), and an elastic member(133). The hinge housing(101), combined with the first housing, rotates centering on the first hinge axis. The rotary shaft(102), combined with the hinge housing(101), rotates centering on the second hinge axis extended in vertical to the first hinge axis. The pressing cam(103) moves linearly in a direction of the first hinge axis within the hinge housing(101). The rotary cam(121), installed at an end part of the rotary shaft(102), forms at least one stopper cam on a circumferential face. The elastic member(133) offers an elastic force in a direction that the pressing cam presses a stopper cam.
