APPARATUS FOR COLOR GAIN CONTROL OF PROJECTION TV

An apparatus for controlling a color gain in a projection television is provided to control white balance by selectively performing boost up or negative processes of a control area of R, G and B with respect to white balance control of a specific mode of each W, M or C mode, thereby more efficiently and easily performing a white balance control process. An apparatus for controlling a color gain in a projection television comprises the followings: an OSD(On Screen Display) controller(20) for selecting a specific control mode among white balance control modes of each W(Warm), M(Medium) and C(Cool) according to selection of a user; a controller(21) which controls white balance by selectively performing boost up or negative processes of a control area of R(Red), G(Green) and B(Blue) with respect to white balance control of the specific mode selected among the W, M or C modes by the OSD controller(20); and a DLP(Digital Light Processing) driver(22) for controlling output R, G and B gains by using the controlled white balance according to control of the controller.
