ARTIFICIAL MARBLE HAVING NATURAL MARBLY PATTERN AND METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME

An artificial marble with natural patterns and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to produce the artificial marble closest to the natural stone by sorting bulk chips of various sizes according to the purpose. The method for manufacturing artificial marbles with natural patterns comprises the steps of: producing semi-hardened chips(2) by mixing a low shrinking agent of 5-80wt.%, a colorant of 0.01-7wt.%, a hardening agent of 0.05-2wt.%, a release agent of 1-12wt.%, a filler of 50-300wt.%, a thickening agent of 0.1-20wt.%, and a reinforcing agent of 2-100wt.% with unsaturated polyester resin of 100wt.% and then drying the mixture; producing a BMC(Bulk Molding Composition,1) by mixing a low shrinking agent of 5-80wt.%, a colorant of 0.01-7wt.%, a hardening agent of 0.1-5wt.%, a release agent of 1-12wt.%, a filler of 20-300wt.%, a thickening agent of 0.1-20wt.%, a reinforcing agent of 2-150wt.%, and the semi-hardened chips of 1-900wt.%, with the unsaturated polyester resin of 100wt.%; stirring and marbling the BMC to form the natural pattern by the semi-hardened chips; and putting the marbled BMC into a mold and then heating, pressing, and hardening the BMC.
