METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CANCELLING VOICE OF A STEREO SOUND SOURCE

A method and an apparatus for cancelling the voice of a stereo sound source are provided to select the cancel of the voice or the maintenance of the drum and base sound from an audio signal with a low frequency band. The third low pass shelving filter(31) outputs a gain control signal of a predetermined band including a low frequency band from the output of the first subtracter(23). The third low pass shelving filter performs the voice cancelling function and a function for compensating or reinforcing the sound of the removed instrument. The fourth low pass shelving filter(32) outputs a gain control signal of a predetermined band from the output of the second subtracter(24). The first high pass filter(33) passes through only high frequency component among the left input audio signal. The second high pass filter(34) passes through only the high frequency component among the right input audio signal. The first adder(35) adds up the outputs of the third low pass filter and the first high pass filter. The second adder(36) adds up the outputs of the fourth low pass filter and the second high pass filter.
