Zusammenfassung:A control system for preventing a rollover of a vehicle and a method for the same are provided to detect danger of the rollover and prevent the rollover from occurring reliably and efficiently. A control system for preventing a rollover of a vehicle comprises vehicle property parameters(110), a plurality of sensors(120), a vertical load operator(131), a Kalman filter applicator(133), a rollover possibility determiner(135), and a braking controller(140). The parameters include mass of the vehicle, height to the center of gravity, track, roll stiffness, a roll damping coefficient, and a roll moment. The sensors detect data regarding lateral acceleration(121), yaw rate(123), a steering angle(125), and vehicle speed(127). The braking controller prevents rollover of the vehicle by independently controlling brakes of each wheel(150). A control method for the control system comprises steps of detecting and inputting the lateral acceleration, the yaw rate, the steering angle and the vehicle speed to the Kalman filter applicator, estimating a roll angle and a roll acceleration through the Kalman filter, defining limit roll angle and roll acceleration and a threshold lateral acceleration, operating an RI(Rollover Index), determining possibility of rollover, and controlling the brakes of the wheels.
