A APPARATUS FOR COATING FLUORESCENT LAYER

An apparatus for coating a fluorescent layer is provided to facilitate a fluorescent layer spreading and drying work for manufacturing a fluorescent lamp, and to prevent fluorescent liquid for coating used to the spreading work from hardening early, thereby improving a quality of the coating. The apparatus includes: a cassette(6) that plural glass pipes for manufacturing lamps(G) are positioned; a chamber(C) connected to one end of the glass pipes; a negative pressure generating unit for spreading a fluorescent layer in the glass pipes by making the inside of the glass pipes in the air pressure state or the lower pressure state than the air pressure through the chamber; a supplying unit for supplying an air for drying the fluorescent layer spread in the glass pipes; a storage tank(10) for containing fluorescent liquid for coating(W) moving in the glass pipe by the negative pressure in the airtight state; and a blocking unit for blocking selectively the top of the storage tank for preventing the fluorescent liquid from volatilizing.
