Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a preparation method of xylylenediamine using imidazoles as a solvent, more particularly to a preparation of xylylenediamine by the hydrogenation of phthalonitrile under ammonia atmosphere, wherein an imidazole, which is chemically stable and highly soluble in phthalonitrile, is used as a reaction solvent to significantly reduce the amount of ammonia and obtain high-purity xylylenediamine under mild reaction conditions with high yield.
