PACKET DATA SERVICE FOR GUARANTEEING EFFICIENCY AND SERVICE QUALITY OF NEXT-GENERATION CDMA MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A packet data service for guaranteeing efficiency and service quality of a next-generation CDMA mobile communication system is provided to distribute overload of a base station and guarantee a suitable service quality for mobile stations by giving them ordering for re-activation. CONSTITUTION: When a base station is overloaded in traffic capacity, the base station/base control station requests a mobile station to transit a state dynamically according to the load situation and the corresponding mobile station is transited to a control state(S310). Since the corresponding mobile station has been transited to the control state even though it has data for transmission, the mobile station is prevented from being transited to a suspended state(S320) or to a dormant state(S330). Mobile stations can be transited to an active state(S300) from the control state according to state transition request based on an ordering queue of the base station.
