ANTIMICROBIAL COMPOSITION CONTAINING PLANT EXTRACT

PURPOSE: An antimicrobial composition containing a plant extract is provided, thereby effectively destroying fungi causing a skin disease, especially Trichophyton sp. and Candida sp. without harmful effects on the human body. CONSTITUTION: An antimicrobial composition contains a plant extract selected from the group consisting of Foeniculi Fructus, Illicium verum Hook. fil, Asarum Sieboldii Miquel var. seoulens Nakai and camphor tree like plants, wherein the camphor tree like plant is selected from the group consisting of Cinnamomum sieboldii, C. cassia, C. zeylanica and C. laureirii; the plant extract is prepared by using a solvent selected from the group consisting of organic solvent, distilled water and alcohol; the plant extract is an essential oil; and the antimicrobial composition is useful for destroying fungi selected from Trichophyton rubrum, Micosporum audouinii, Trichophyton ferrugineum, Epidermophyton floccosum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes and Candida albicans which cause skin diseases.
