Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE: A spheroidizing heat treatment method of wire rods for bearing steel having superior cold headability is provided to manufacture bearing steel which not only simplifies the spheroidizing heat treatment process but also has a superior cold headability by appropriately controlling a temperature and a time of heat treatment in the first step during the spheroidizing heat treatment of bearing steel consisting of the first and second steps. CONSTITUTION: In a method for manufacturing a wire rod for bearing steel comprising the processes of hot rolling a slab comprising 0.95 to 1.10 wt.% of C, 0.15 to 0.35 wt.% of Si, 0.20 to 0.50 wt.% of Mn, 1.30 to 1.60 wt.% of Cr, 13 ppm or less of O and 50 ppm or less of N; manufacturing a wire rod by wire drawing the hot rolled slab; first step spheroidizing heat treating the wire rod; and second spheroidizing heat treating by maintaining the first step spheroidizing heat treated wire rod at a temperature of 740 to 780 deg.C for more than 5 hours, the spheroidizing heat treatment method of wire rods for bearing steel having superior cold headability is characterized in that the first step spheroidizing heat treatment is performed at a temperature of 780 to 810 deg.C for 1 to 3 hours. |
