Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for bending a workpiece, and more particularly to a method and an apparatus for bending a nonferrous metal workpiece to be mounted on a chassis. The present invention is characterized in that a workpiece is prepared by extruding nonferrous metal through a die with uniform shape and plastic working the extruded nonferrous metal, the workpiece fixed at the mandrel operating plates (31, 31') by the movement of a stopper by the piston (41) disposed on a workpiece fixing apparatus, and the workpiece simultaneously bent at its both sides to perform stretching and mandrel operation by an M/C (machine control unit). Thereby, the wrinkle problem can be solved.
